Cameras, green screens, and a lot of impromptu acting summarize this day.
We were each given a theme a week back for this "top secret" video shoot, as the footage would be revealed later on the final night. The themes included "at the beach," "in the rain," "at school," and my favourite (also my theme), "shopping."
I search my whole house for different props that could be used in the shoot, and I had found 2 bags of shopping bags, sunglasses, perfume bottles, and a Starbucks cup. I also managed to put together a cute "shopping outfit," which is funny because I have never looked so chic when I shopped.
Ginny and her friend, Judy, did our makeup and made us pretty for the shoot. Good thing the location was in Aberdeen in the Telus World of Science store, which was walking distance away from Fairchild Radio.
When I arrived at the shooting location, green screens were already set up. I was supposed to act out "shopping," and a mall would replace the green screen later on in post editing. Mandy was extremely helpful in the entire process as she shouted out acting instructions that I was able to follow. After countless shots of myself madly smiling and over-exaggerating my emotions, we finished with an ending pose smiling directly at the camera, and that was a wrap!
