What makes a 2-hour show amazing? A full team of support crew and tons of rehearsals!
We had not one, but two, full-dress rehearsals for the finale, where we went over all sections of the show. The room was a little more chaotic than it used to be. Computers, wires, cameras, bags, instruments, Fairchild Radio staff, emcees, and Sunshine Girlz filled the rehearsal room; there must have been 20 to 30 people all together! Crew members ranged from backstage managers to videographers; everyone had a job to do, and no one was just sitting there doing nothing.
We were required to change 5 outfits for the entire run-through: our uniforms, our talent outfits, our Q&A attires, our fashion show dresses, and back to our uniforms again. But not to worry, because we were given plenty of time to change as well as many helping hands, thanks to Fairchild Radio's extremely organized pre-planning!
There were certain parts of the show where we went over a couple of more times together with the emcees and the pre-designed background videos. This included the opening dance, the fashion show, and the award ceremony. The stage set up was taped onto the floor, and we, the Sunshine Girlz, followed the markers to the best of our abilities (a lot of imagination was involved!).
The 4-hour rehearsal ended soon. Although everyone was tired, we were very excited for what's to come, now that we are ready for the final show.
